Privacy Policy

This is a one-page personal site for Marcus Dale's writing on the moving industry. It is deliberately simple, and so is this policy.

What this site collects

Google Analytics 4 records anonymous usage data: which pages are viewed, how long the visit lasts, the referring site, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser type. That is the only analytics on the site.

What it does not collect

• No contact forms, sign-up forms, or comment fields — there is nowhere to type.
• No accounts, logins, or passwords.
• No email addresses. The newsletter is hosted on Substack, which has its own policy.
• No advertising networks and no ad retargeting pixels.

Third parties

• Google Analytics — usage measurement. See Google's privacy policy. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on.
• Google Fonts — typefaces load from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads.
• Cloudflare — serves and protects the site.
• Substack — hosts the newsletter. If you subscribe there, Substack handles your email address under its own policy, not this one.

Links to other sites, including moving-crews.com and Substack, are governed by those sites' own privacy policies once you leave here.

Your choices

You can block cookies in your browser settings, use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on above, or browse with Do Not Track and private-window modes. Nothing on this site is gated, so blocking any of it costs you no functionality.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
